    About Us

    Negamam Coconut Producer Company Limited was started by a group of farmers in and around Negamam which is in the state of Tamilnadu. As farmer's groups were successful we planned to start a farmer-producer company. The farmer-producer company started to increase the standard of the farmers. We collectively approached the Vanavarayar Institute of Agriculture (VIA) to guide and support us to start this company. Financial support was given by NABARD and VIA for guidance. The company was incorporated with CIN: U01100TZ2019PTC032877 on 24th October 2019 with the help of NABARD and VIA. Direct selling platforms, value addition, and implementing technology in agriculture are the main objective of our company. We currently have 1068 farmers as shareholders out of which 81 percent of farmers are small and marginal farmers and it covers 4300 acres of farming land from Coimbatore and Tiruppur districts.

    About NCPCL business:

    Our company is venturing into a new value-addition program through a mission of sustainable dry land agriculture (MSDA). Through this scheme, 3 oil explorers and 4 pulverizers were installed in which we produce coconut oil, groundnut oil, sesame oils, and flour products like wheat, maize, sorghum, and millet.

    Implementation of technology in agriculture

    Implementation of technology gradation not only in machinery but also in eradicating ignorance of farmers. Farmers are well-versed in the art of agriculture but ignorant of fixing prices. We like to use technology to eradicate this ignorance by providing price updates of various products to farmers through mobile apps and text messages. We hope this would create an impact and bring awareness to farmers. We plan to provide price updates and availability for fertilizer and pesticides. To cope with this competitive era of digital platforms, we plan to sell our products through e-commerce. We intend to start a separate forum for FPOs to sell their products.
